Description

Beatrice Malkin Performing Arts Scholarship

Open to: Sparks, Embers, Guides, Pathfinders and Rangers in Guiding within the City of Vancouver.

One scholarship will be awarded to each branch.Performing Arts include speech, drama (including mime), voice (singing and speech, dance, rhythmic gymnastics, figure skating and any other performance art (other than a musical instrument) that can be evaluated.

Criteria: The applicant’s interest in her performing art; the applicant’s commitment to Guiding, her performing art; and her active use of her talent particularly in Guiding and in the community.

Elizabeth Rogers Music Scholarship

Open to: Sparks, Embers, Guides, Pathfinders and Rangers in Burnaby, Ladner, New Westminster, Richmond, Tsawwassen and Vancouver.

One scholarship will be awarded to each branch.Girls performing on any musical instrument are eligible.

Criteria: The applicant’s commitment to Guiding and her music and her active use of her talent particularly in Guiding and in the Community

Bertha Brandreth Award

Open to: Guiding members within the City of Vancouver between 13 and 18 yrs. at the time of application.

Application must be initiated by the Guider.Will be presented to an outstanding member of Guiding.Funds are to be used for Guiding event or educational opportunity within 12 months of presentation that will foster the development of the member in accordance with the principles of Guiding.Name of your guiderYour guider's contact emailWhat Guiding positions have you held? Jennifer Menendez Education Grant

Open to: Any girl or young woman age 17 to 25 presently registered in Guiding within Richmond, Ladner or Tsawwassen.

Presented to a girl / young woman whose outstanding personal qualities merit this award.Designed to help active members with the cost of post-secondary education at a recognized institution.

Candidates will be evaluated in the following areas:

Ten (10) bursaries for members in Grade 12Five (5) bursaries for members age 18 to 24 yrs.Two (2) bursaries for members age 25 or older.Designed to help active members with the cost of postsecondary education at a recognized institution.
