What is the purpose of this bursary? 

To financially assist up to two active Manitoba members of Girl Guides in part time or full time post-secondary education at an accredited institute in the province of Manitoba. (Exceptions will be made for courses and programs only offered in other Canadian provinces.)

Criteria

• Minimum of 5 years active membership
• Recipient must continue membership in Guiding
• A copy of the letter of acceptance into the chosen program of study is required
• Bursary is to assist in tuition costs only; books and equipment costs are not eligible
• Members may only receive a bursary from Manitoba Council once every three years
• Recipients must show proof of first payment and tuition payment schedule before bursary will be presented

Bursary will be funded by Manitoba Council from: 

• Interest from the Scholarship/Bursary fund
• Donations
• Memorial donations
