What is the purpose of this bursary? 

To recognize excellence in active Manitoba members of Girl Guides who are continuing in full time post-secondary education.

Criteria

• Minimum of 5 years active membership
• Recipient must continue membership in Guiding
• Cannot receive both a scholarship and a bursary from Manitoba Council in the same year
• Applicants must be in last year of high school with plans to continue their education
• Funds can be used for tuition to an accredited Canadian post-secondary institution
• Must be used within twelve months of graduation from high school
• All recipients will have to present the original tuition/course fees receipt and complete registration to become an adult member before award is presented. Award is paid in two installments, fall and winter.

Bursary will be funded by Manitoba Council from: 

• Interest from the Scholarship/Bursary fund
• Donations
